Sarwara Education Welfare Society celebrates Teachers' Day at Panjab University Law Auditorium as "Best Teacher, Best Future"

Chandigarh, 5 September 2025- On the occasion of National Teachers' Day, the birth anniversary of late President and renowned educationist S. Radhakrishnan, (Sarwara Education Welfare Association), an organization of 94 private unaided schools from rural and semi-urban areas of Chandigarh, celebrated Teachers' Day at Panjab University Law Auditorium.

Chandigarh, 5 September 2025- On the occasion of National Teachers' Day, the birth anniversary of late President and renowned educationist S. Radhakrishnan, (Sarwara Education Welfare Association), an organization of 94 private unaided schools from rural and semi-urban areas of Chandigarh, celebrated Teachers' Day at Panjab University Law Auditorium. Chandigarh Administrator Gulab Chand Kataria was to be the chief guest on the occasion, but could not attend due to other commitments.
Former Mayor and former President Chandigarh BJP Arun Sood presided over the function as the chief guest. Hundreds of teachers participated and were awarded the Best Teacher Award. The enthusiastic students presented various cultural programmes and motivational speeches to celebrate Teachers’ Day and honour their teachers for their services in the education of children.
General Secretary of SEVA Ashok Rana conducted the programme and President of SEVA Daljit Singh gave a beautiful presentation and thanked the teachers, students, parents and the audience.
Daljit Singh highlighted the efforts of Arun Sood in getting various schools recognized by the administration.
Arun Sood congratulated the teachers and said that children spend a lot of time with teachers and learn a lot from them in their lives apart from their parents and quoted various verses from Indian scriptures in appreciation of teachers.
Satinder Singh Sidhu, Chairman Chandigarh State Co-operative Bank, Umesh Ghai, Geeta Chauhan Nominated Councillor, Kalbhushan Sharma President NISA Amandeep Singh President Tricity Cab Drivers Association, Prem Kaushik and other dignitaries were present on the occasion.
