MLA Jimpa said that the elders are the heritage of the society, whose life experiences and values ??become a guide for the next generations. He said that Grand Parents Day reminds us of the importance of the precious time spent with our grandparents. He appealed to the children and youth to give time to their elders and contribute to making their lives happy.
He said that the Punjab government is running many schemes for the welfare of the elders and it is the duty of every section of the society to ensure respect and care for the elders. On this occasion, the MLA cut a cake with the elderly living in the old age home and also shared fruits, sweets and other essential items with them. Praising the management of the old age home, Jimpa said that the elderly are being served here with great devotion.
He assured that the government and the administration will provide all possible assistance so that the people living here do not have to face any kind of problem. On this occasion, MLA Jimpa also appealed to social organizations and voluntary organizations to visit the old age homes from time to time to boost the morale of the elderly and make them feel at home.
