Annual Jorh Mela of Karrar Got Ancestors to be Celebrated on September 14 in Binjo Village

Garhshankar, September 8- The annual Jorh Mela of the Karrar Got ancestors will be celebrated with great enthusiasm on Sunday, September 14, 2025, at the religious site in Binjo village, Tehsil Garhshankar, District Hoshiarpur. Preparations for this mela, organized with the cooperation of all local residents, are in full swing.

Garhshankar, September 8- The annual Jorh Mela of the Karrar Got ancestors will be celebrated with great enthusiasm on Sunday, September 14, 2025, at the religious site in Binjo village, Tehsil Garhshankar, District Hoshiarpur. Preparations for this mela, organized with the cooperation of all local residents, are in full swing.
The mela will commence with the rituals of Roshan Chirag and Nishan Sahib. Following this, the Bhog of Sri Akhand Paath Sahib will be performed, and religious diwans will be organized. Guru ka Langar, along with tea and pakoras, will be served continuously for the congregation.
The arrangements for the mela are being managed by dedicated sevadars, including Chiranji Lal, Jasvir Singh, Raj Kumar, Mahinder Pal, Gyan Singh Appra, Dharmpal Karrar, Hardyal Singh, Onkar Singh, Mukaddar Karrar, Husan Lal (Judge, High Court), Rashpal Karrar, Tirth Karrar, Balwant Kumar (former Chief Engineer, Patiala), and Bibi Balvir Kaur Thandal, who are making significant contributions.
This mela, which holds special significance in the religious and social life of the region, stands as a symbol of unity, brotherhood, and devotion. Like every year, it will be celebrated with grandeur this time as well.
