SAS Nagar, September 5 - Former Director of Punjab Mandi Board Rajinder Singh Badheri has condemned the action to implement new service rules by the Chandigarh Administration and said that the decision taken by the Central Government to implement the new service rules through the Chandigarh Administration is a blow to Punjab.

In a statement issued here, he said that only Punjab has the right to Chandigarh and all the rules and laws of Punjab should be implemented here. He said that our lands were acquired to make it the capital of Punjab and all our villages that have been displaced were Punjabi speaking. At that time, this area was a part of Ambala district, Ropar tehsil and Kharar sub-tehsil of Punjab.
He said that it is the duty of all political parties of Punjab to start a struggle to get Chandigarh included in Punjab to protect the rights of Punjab and Punjabis.
