Workshop Held at Khalsa College on ‘The Sound Game: English Phonetics in Action’

Garhshankar, September 29:- A workshop on the topic ‘The Sound Game: English Phonetics in Action’ was organised by the Department of English at Babbar Akali Memorial Khalsa College, Garhshankar, being run under the management of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, under the guidance of Principal Dr. Amandeep Heera.

The workshop was inaugurated by Prof. Ritu Singh, Head of the Department of English. As the main speakers, Prof. Kiranjot Kaur from the Department of Education and Prof. Navdeep Singh from the Department of English provided students with information about the importance of English pronunciation, the use of the IPA, and various practical exercises.

Around 100 students participated in the workshop. Principal Dr. Amandeep Heera congratulated the department on the successful organisation of the workshop and said that such activities help enhance students’ linguistic and communication skills.

Prof. Lakhwinderjit Kaur, Prof. Jatinder Kaur, Prof. Manbir Kaur and staff members were present on the occasion.
