Hoshiarpur:- Hoshiarpur Assembly Constituency MLA Brahm Shankar Jimpa formally inaugurated the work of constructing the statue of Dr. BR Ambedkar, the architect of the Constitution, in Ward No. 18. On this occasion, he announced that this important project will be prepared at a cost of about Rs. 18.50 lakh, under which a magnificent and inspiring statue will be installed in the area.
MLA Brahm Shankar Jimpa said that Dr. BR Ambedkar laid a strong foundation of equality, justice and democracy in the country through the creation of the Indian Constitution. He said that the construction of such monuments is very important to pass on the legacy of great thinkers and nation builders to the coming generations. He said that this monument will encourage the people of the area, especially the youth, to take inspiration from the ideas and ideals of Dr. Ambedkar.
On this occasion, Mayor of the Municipal Corporation Surinder Kumar said that the Municipal Corporation is continuously working for the development of the city as well as to honor the memory of great personalities. He said that the installation of the statue of Dr. Ambedkar will enhance the beauty of the area and will always remind the people of his great contribution.
