Sitapur/Azamgarh (Uttar Pradesh):- Delhi Police have arrested two women from Sitapur and Azamgarh districts of Uttar Pradesh in connection with the firing incident targeting Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff’s car in Mumbai. Investigators suspect that the two women helped transport the weapons used in the attack. Among the five people arrested in the case are Radha from Sitapur and Babita from Azamgarh. Mumbai Police allege that the attack was carried out at the direction of Anil Pandit, a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. According to Delhi Police, two suspects had travelled to Amritsar to collect the weapons, while the two women allegedly transported them to Mumbai by train and handed them over to the attackers.

Apart from Radha and Babita, two men identified as Kunal and Sumit have also been arrested. The fifth accused allegedly remained in Mumbai to provide the attackers with logistical support. In Sitapur, Radha’s family maintains that she is innocent and has been falsely implicated in the case. Her mother, Maina Devi, said Radha had gone to Haryana about a year ago in search of work, where she was employed at a factory and earned Rs 15,000 per month. Radha married a local man named Sunil in 2015, and they have a son. Sunil said Radha left their home around 2018, after which he remarried. He added that he had not been in contact with Radha for several years.

In Azamgarh, Babita’s family has also claimed that she is innocent. Her father, Ram Jatan Ram, said Babita worked at a packaging unit in Sonipat, Haryana. He alleged that a girl known to the family took her to Mumbai on the pretext of travelling for leisure. Ram Jatan Ram said the family had contacted the police and had full faith in the judicial process. Babita’s sister, Neelam, said Babita had gone to Mumbai with her friend Radha to visit religious places and fulfil a religious vow. She added that the two women were stopped at a railway station during their return journey. The family was informed that some suspicious items had been found in Babita’s bag. According to the family, Babita told her elder brother, Dilip Kumar, over the phone that she had travelled to Mumbai with another woman and was arrested while returning to Delhi.
