S.A.S. Nagar, June 19- Mohali Police has arrested two persons with 11 grams of Heroin. Giving details, SHO of Balongi Police Station Kulwant Singh said that these persons were caught during the ongoing drive against drugs under the directions of SSP Mohali, Shri Harmandeep Singh Hans.
He informed that acting on a secret information, police arrested Manoj, a resident of Bareilly, UP (presently residing in Industrial Area, Phase 7, Mohali), and Santosh Kumar, a resident of Sector 71, and recovered 11 grams of Heroin from their possession. A case has been registered under Section 21, 29-61-85 of NDPS Act.
He said that police produced the accused before the Hon'ble Court and obtained police remand, and they are being interrogated.
In a separate case, Balongi Police arrested a person and recovered one Splendor motorcycle from him. He informed that during the ongoing drive to nab anti-social elements, robbers, and thieves, Balongi Police team arrested Gurbachan Singh alias Bachna (resident of Barmajra Colony, Opposite Ravi Kirana Store) and recovered one Splendor motorcycle from him.
A case has been registered under Section 303(2) of B.N.S. He further informed that Police produced Gurbachan Singh before the Hon'ble Court, obtained Police remand, and he is being questioned.
