Chandigarh, February 11, 2026: The Vishwa Punjabi Prachar Sabha, Chandigarh, is organizing a public launch, literary award, and Kavi Darbar for two books on February 13, 2026, at 2 p.m. at Saini Bhawan, Sector 24, Chandigarh. These books include the Punjabi-language book "Sneh Bhari Bal Pariksha," edited by Pt. Bahadur Singh Gosal, and the Hindi-language book "Kya Khoya Kya Paya," by renowned author Manju Sharda.
The organization's President, Pt. Bahadur Singh Gosal, and General Secretary, Avtar Singh Mehtapuri, announced that Dr. Manmohan Singh, former Chief Engineer of Punjab and elder brother of the former Chief Minister of Punjab, will be the chief guest at this grand event. Renowned stage and film actress Madam Anita Shabdeesh will preside over the ceremony, and Mr. Krishna Kumar Tejpal, former Guidance and Counseling Officer, UT Chandigarh, will be the special guest. A booklet on Prof. Gosal's book "Sneh Bhari Bal Pariksha" will be read by Mr. Raj Kumar Sahowalia, former Deputy Secretary to the Punjab Government, Narang Advocate.
He stated that renowned author Gurdarshan Singh Mavi will be given a special honor at the event, and all the authors featured in Prof. Gosal's book will be honored. A grand Kavi Darbar will also be held on this occasion, in which renowned poets from the Tricity will add a new dimension to the event with their works. A large number of renowned intellectuals and writers from the region will participate in this event.
