Hoshiarpur: The NSS unit of Rayat College of Law and Lamrin Tech Skills University Punjab, Railmajra, concluded its seven-day special camp focused on social service, youth engagement, and community outreach with a meaningful valedictory function.
The day began with yoga and fitness activities, followed by a visit to Government Senior Secondary School, Railmajra, where NSS volunteers interacted with the school students and delivered awareness speeches on "Developed India" and drug abuse prevention. The program featured impactful street plays on "Say No to Drugs" and "Save the Girl Child." Stationery and sports kits were distributed to the students.
The valedictory function was graced by Dr. Parveen Goyal, Program Coordinator, and Dr. Sonia Sharma, Program Officer, from Punjab University, Chandigarh, and presided over by Dr. Monika Sharma, Principal of Rayat College of Law. The guests appreciated the efforts of the NSS units and emphasized the role of youth in nation-building and bringing about social change.
Deserving volunteers were presented with Best Volunteer and special awards.
The Program Coordinator, Mrs. Rattan Kaur, appreciated the guidance of Dr. Sohanu and the efforts of her Program Officer. The program concluded with a vote of thanks and reflections from the volunteers, marking the successful culmination of a camp dedicated to the vision of a developed India and a drug-free society.
