Chandigarh: A sense of pride and emotion prevailed throughout the region on the arrival of Chief Justice of India Justice Surya Kant to his ancestral village Petwar (Hisar). On this historic occasion, Advocate Vasu Ranjan Shandilya, Chairman of the Council of Lawyers and an advocate of the Supreme Court and Punjab-Haryana High Court, honored the Chief Justice of India by presenting him with a magnificent painted portrait and extended his best wishes for the New Year and Lohri.
On this occasion, Chief Justice Sheel Nagu of the Punjab and Haryana High Court and Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Saini also graced the event with their presence, further enhancing its prestige. Many prominent personalities from the judicial, administrative, and social fields were present at the event, including Pradeep Boora, President of the Hisar Bar Association, Vice President Vikas Punia, Secretary Sameer Bhatia, former Deputy Advocate General of the Haryana Government Ashish Godara, Additional Advocate General Himanshu Raj, and many other senior advocates and dignitaries.
During his address, Chief Justice of India Justice Surya Kant said that whatever he is today is the result of the blessings of his elders, teachers, and the soil of his village. His emotional statement deeply touched the assembled crowd.
Advocate Vasu Ranjan Shandilya said that Justice Surya Kant's message is an inspiration not only for the judiciary but for the entire society. He said that the Council of Lawyers, following Justice Surya Kant's ideology, is committed to providing justice to the poor, the underprivileged, and the last person in line, and will also earn blessings by helping the poor. Shandilya said that the Council of Lawyers will work to strengthen society and further reinforce the credibility of the Indian judiciary through free legal aid, legal awareness campaigns, and protecting the rights of weaker sections of society. Advocate Shandilya said that when the Chief Justice of India pays homage to the soil of his ancestral village today, it sends a message that it is the power of values, blessings, and traditions that takes a person to the pinnacle of success. This moment will also serve as an inspiration for future generations.
