Gharuan, 09 February 2026:- Under the leadership of Punjab Government and Health Minister Dr. Balbir Singh, continuous efforts are being made under Kayakalp campaign to take cleanliness, facilities and patient services to a higher level in government health institutions. In this regard, Kayakalp assessment was conducted at Primary Health Center Gharuan under the leadership of Civil Surgeon Dr. Sangeeta Jain.
This assessment team included Dr. Gurpreet Singh Medical Officer Dental and Harbans Singh Radiographer. The team inspected the cleanliness management, biomedical waste management, record maintenance, patient facilities and structural arrangements in the health center in detail. The team also gave some suggestions so that the services could be further improved.
On this occasion, Senior Medical Officer Dr. Preet Mohan Singh Khurana said that the entire team of PHC Gharuan is constantly striving to maintain the Kayakalp standards. He said that cleanliness, proper biomedical waste management and providing good health services to patients are our priorities and these standards will be further strengthened in the future.
On this occasion, Medical Officer Dr. Saroj, Medical Officer Dental Dr. Hardeep Kaur, Block Extension Educator Sahil Sukhera, Staff Nurses Amaninder Kaur and Ramandeep Kaur were also present.
