Tahliwal/Una, May 12 (Rajveer Chopra):- Today, a team from the Tahliwal Fire Station conducted a fire safety awareness campaign among migrant laborers residing in local shanty settlements. During this initiative, fire department personnel provided the residents with detailed information regarding the common causes of fires and effective measures to prevent them.
The fire department team advised the laborers to ensure that their cooking stoves are properly covered after use, thereby minimizing the risk of accidental fires. Furthermore, they urged the residents to maintain a spacing of approximately 10 feet between individual shanties; this measure aims to safeguard adjacent huts in the event that a fire breaks out in one specific location.
The personnel encouraged the residents to remain vigilant and to immediately alert the fire department in the event of any emergency. They emphasized that exercising even a small degree of caution can prevent major accidents.
Fire In-charge Sunil Dutt, along with Ravinder Singh, Aman Rana, and Munish Kumar, were present during this awareness campaign.
