Tapa Mandi/Barnala:- The Shiromani Akali Dal organised a meeting with traders at a local private palace under the leadership of constituency in-charge Kulwant Singh Keetu. Party president Sukhbir Singh Badal attended the meeting as a special guest. Raising questions over the performance of the Punjab government, he said that if the Akali Dal formed the government, strict steps would be taken to eliminate drug traffickers and gangsters from the state.

Sukhbir Singh Badal said that drug traffickers would not be spared in Punjab. He stated that legal action would be taken to confiscate properties acquired through drug trafficking. He said protecting the younger generation of the state from drug addiction was extremely important and that the government must work seriously towards this goal.

Speaking on the issue of gangsterism, he said that an Akali Dal government would eliminate gangsterism from Punjab. Claiming that strict action would be taken against gangsters, he said restoring law and order in the state would be a priority. Referring to the case of Parminder Singh Jhota, he criticised the Punjab government and alleged that it had failed on every front.

Resolving Traders' Problems to Be a Priority

Emphasising the importance of coordination with traders, Sukhbir Singh Badal said that the growth of the trading community would create more employment opportunities and strengthen the state's economy. He said resolving the problems faced by traders would be his first priority.
