New Delhi:- Senior West Bengal leader Mukul Roy has got a big relief from the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court has temporarily stayed the order of the Calcutta High Court to cancel his assembly membership. This decision has once again created a stir in politics.
According to information, Mukul Roy had won the election on a BJP ticket, but later he left the BJP and joined the Trinamool Congress. After this, the matter of declaring him disqualified reached the court.
The Calcutta High Court had cancelled Mukul Roy's MLA membership in its decision, which he challenged in the Supreme Court. Now the Supreme Court has given immediate relief to Mukul Roy, while staying this order of the High Court.
