Chandigarh, October 9:- Haryana Education Minister Mahipal Dhanda said that the Department of Higher Education will confer the State NSS Awards 2025–26 to honour coordinators, officers and volunteers who have done commendable work in the field of the National Service Scheme (NSS). For this purpose, the State NSS Cell has invited applications from university-, district- and polytechnic-level NSS units.

The Education Minister said that a total of 42 awards would be presented for 2025–26. These include one award for a University NSS Programme Coordinator, one for a District/Polytechnic NSS Programme Coordinator, 30 awards for NSS Programme Officers and units, and 10 awards for NSS volunteers. Verified records of activities and achievements for the preceding three years will be mandatory for coordinators, while Programme Officers and volunteers must submit verified records covering two years.

He stated that only nominations submitted through the proper channel would be accepted. Applications submitted directly, sent by email or lacking supporting documents would be rejected. In addition, only activities organised under the banner of NSS would be recognised.

He said that the concerned coordinators must submit verified nominations along with duly completed forms by October 31, 2026, to the State NSS Cell, Department of Higher Education, Shiksha Sadan, Sector 5, Panchkula.
