Hansi, October 3 (Dinkar Gavdi):- The Under-17 boys’ team of Srishti International Sports School, Moth (Narnaund, Haryana), delivered an outstanding performance at the CBSE National Kabaddi Championship 2026, held from September 28 to October 3, 2026, at New Angel Senior Secondary School in Pratapgarh, Uttar Pradesh. The team showcased exceptional sporting talent, won consecutive matches and secured first place to claim the gold medal. Players from reputed schools from almost all states across the country participated enthusiastically in the national competition.
The tournament witnessed tough contests in its initial stages, with a total of 32 rounds played among the teams. The players of Srishti School displayed remarkable sportsmanship, excellent raiding and a strong defence at every stage:
• October 1, 2026 (5th Round): In an exciting match between Srishti School Moth (Narnaund), Haryana, and Bal Vidya School, Delhi, Srishti’s team dominated the game and registered a convincing 36–13 victory.
• October 2, 2026 (14th Round): In the match between Srishti School Moth (Narnaund) and AIC Academy, Ludhiana, Srishti’s team secured a hard-fought 37–25 victory.
• October 2, 2026 (24th Round): In the match between Srishti School Moth (Narnaund) and Sandipani Academy, Mandleshwar (Khargone), Madhya Pradesh, the team produced an impressive performance and won 38–16 to enter the quarter-finals.
• October 3, 2026 (Quarter-Final): Srishti School Moth (Narnaund) defeated Maheshwari Public School, Jaipur (Rajasthan), by a convincing 28–13 margin to secure a place in the semi-finals.
• Semi-Final: In the semi-final, Srishti School faced Army Public School, Pune, Maharashtra. The team continued its dominant performance and won 36–18 to enter the final.
• Final (Gold Medal Match): The final was played between Srishti International Sports School, Moth (Narnaund), Haryana, and Oxford Green Public School, Noida. With strong defence, excellent coordination and super raids from the beginning, Srishti’s team won the title clash by a commanding 38–14 margin to claim the gold medal.

On this historic victory, Bijender Singh Lohan, District General Secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Party, Hansi, and President of the Haryana Ice Skating Association, said, “The gold medal won by the players of Srishti International Sports School, Moth (Narnaund), in the CBSE National Kabaddi Championship is a matter of pride and happiness for the entire region. School Manager Anoop Lohan congratulated the winning players, coaches Subhash Lohan, Pradeep Jaglan and Deepak Badala, and the entire staff, saying that the students had brought glory to Haryana and the region at the national level through their hard work and discipline.
Meanwhile, School Principal Ghanshyam Verma said that this success was the result of the children’s tireless efforts and dedication to sports. The achievement has created an atmosphere of celebration throughout the school and the region.
