Hoshiarpur, September 05:- A state-level education conference was organized on the occasion of Teacher's Day at Rayat Bahra Professional University, Hoshiarpur, in collaboration with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). The event was presided over by the University's Chancellor Gurvinder Singh Bahra and Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Chander Mohan, while senior AAP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, Manish Sisodia, attended as the chief guest. Member of Parliament Dr. Raj Kumar Chabbewal, MLA Dr. Ishank Kumar, and Deputy Commissioner Hoshiarpur also made special appearances.
Addressing the gathering, chief guest Manish Sisodia stated that to secure a bright future for the youth of Punjab, equipping the educational infrastructure of schools and universities with world-class facilities is the need of the hour. He emphasized that social transformation begins in classrooms and an education revolution is impossible until teachers are empowered with modern techniques; hence, the government remains committed to restoring Punjab as a leading hub of knowledge and science.
On this occasion, Chancellor Gurvinder Singh Bahra described teachers as nation builders, stating that Rayat Bahra institution continuously strives to provide employment-oriented and quality education, pledging full support to every constructive step raising educational standards in the state. Expressing his views, Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Chander Mohan noted that higher education institutions bear the responsibility of fostering research, innovation, and critical thinking so students can successfully face global challenges. At the conclusion of the event, Chancellor Gurvinder Singh Bahra and Vice-Chancellor Dr. Chander Mohan formally thanked all attending dignitaries.
