Kharar (Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar), 7 October 2026:- As part of the special documentary film being screened across Punjab by the Punjab Government to mark the 650th Prakash Purab of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj, a 30-minute documentary was screened through an LED screen in the villages of Deh Kalan, Dhadak Kalan and Dhadak Khurd in Kharar Block. A large number of villagers participated on the occasion and watched the documentary with devotion and enthusiasm.
Providing information in this regard, Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Kharar, Shri Gurmeet Singh said that this special initiative has been undertaken by the Punjab Government to mark the 650th Prakash Purab of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj. The objective is to take the life, teachings and great message given to society by Sri Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj to the people.
He said that the 30-minute special documentary presents various aspects related to the life of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj and his Gurbani in an impactful manner. Through the documentary, the message of equality, brotherhood, humanity, mutual love and harmony is being conveyed in society.
Shri Gurmeet Singh said that the teachings of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj continue to be highly inspirational for society even today, and his message inspires people from all sections of society to live with mutual harmony, respect and equality. He said that the Punjab Government’s initiative to screen the documentary through LED screens at the village level is helping connect people with the life and philosophy of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj.
On the occasion, residents of Deh Kalan, Dhadak Kalan and Dhadak Khurd appreciated the initiative undertaken by the Punjab Government and said that screening the documentary through LED screens in the villages is providing people, especially the younger generation, an opportunity to learn about the life and teachings of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj.
During the screening of the documentary, the villagers watched it with devotion and took the message of adopting the teachings of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj in their lives.
