Dera Bassi (Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar), 02 November 2025: Under the directions of Shri Harmandeep Singh Hans, IPS, Senior Superintendent of Police, Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar and Shri Manpreet Singh, PPS, Superintendent of Police (Rural), Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, a Special Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) was conducted in Dera Bassi Sub-Division today.
The operation was led by Shri Bikramjit Singh Brar, PPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Dera Bassi. Meanwhile, special police teams — Inspector Sumit Mor (SHO Dera Bassi), Inspector Ranbir Singh (SHO Lalru) and ASI Charanjit Singh (Incharge Police Post Mubarakpur) led by him conducted a search and raid at Deha Basti, Mubarakpur (Police Station Dera Bassi).
During the operation, seven (07) suspects were arrested and six (06) motorcycles were taken into police custody.
In addition, FIR No. 312 dated 02.11.2025 under Section 61 of the Excise Act has been registered at Police Station Dera Bassi, during which 07 bottles of liquor and 16 pails of liquor (marked “For sale in Haryana only”) have been recovered from a person.
SSP Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar said that the police is committed to maintaining law and order in the district and ensuring the safety of citizens. Such operations will continue in the future as well.
