Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, 14 September 2026:- As per the directions of Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer Mrs. Komal Mittal, IAS, the disposal process related to claims and objections under the third phase of Special Intensive Revision-2026 is underway in S.A.S. Nagar Assembly constituency. During this phase, claims and objections were submitted by the general public from 13 August 2026 to 12 September 2026.
SDM-cum-ERO S.A.S. Nagar Mrs. Damandeep Kaur said that the disposal of the received claims and objections is to be done by 8 October 2026 as per the prescribed schedule. She said that to ensure transparency in the election process and participation of all recognized political parties, information regarding claims and objections is being provided to them regularly.
She said that for the information of political parties for S.A.S. Nagar Assembly constituency, lists of the last week related to Form No. 6, 7 and 8 have been provided in Form No. 9, 10, 11 and 11-A. Apart from this, necessary information regarding claims and objections is also being provided by the Electoral Registration Officers by holding weekly meetings with all recognized political parties.
Mrs. Damandeep Kaur said that during the process of SIR-2026, full compliance with the guidelines issued by the Election Commission and the prescribed schedule is being done. She said that the disposal of the received claims and objections will be done in a transparent and impartial manner as per rules and priority will be given to protection of rights of eligible voters.
