Una, August 31: The district administration has revised school timings in Una district, prioritizing the health and safety of students amidst prevailing hot and humid weather conditions. Effective September 1, 2026, all government and private schools in the district will operate from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
Jatin Lal, District Magistrate and Chairperson of the District Disaster Management Authority, has issued orders to this effect under Sections 33 and 34 of the Disaster Management Act, 2005. This arrangement will remain in force until further orders.
The new schedule applies to all government and private schools across pre-primary, primary, middle, and secondary levels. The administration took this decision considering the hot weather and high humidity in the district, aiming to provide students relief from the hottest part of the day.
