Zirakpur (Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar), 25 September:- Today, officials of the Reserve Bank of India, Chandigarh, organised an awareness programme at Government Senior Secondary School, Bhabat (Daulat Singh Wala), under the “E-BAAT” initiative. School Principal Shri Sunil Behl welcomed the officials from RBI, including Shri Manish and Madam Namrata, Shri M.K. Bhardwaj, LDM Mohali, and Shri Rohtash Kumar, Branch Manager, PNB Bhabat Branch.
LDM Mohali Shri M.K. Bhardwaj discussed the latest banking awareness with the students of the school. He also advised the students to remain alert and aware while carrying out any financial transaction through their smartphones.
Shri Manish Kumar from RBI explained various financial awareness concepts to the students in detail.
He also covered the latest financial terms, including how to protect oneself from cyber fraud. He discussed various methods and techniques being used by cyber fraudsters nowadays and asked the students to remain cautious of such incidents.
RBI also distributed literature related to financial awareness among the students. Shri Manish also conducted a quiz with the students, and the students who gave the correct answers were honoured with gifts.
Around 60 students and 10 staff members of the school participated in the programme. Overall, it was a very informative programme. The school authorities appreciated RBI and PNB for this initiative, which is the need of the hour.
