New Delhi:- RSS's first statement has come on the issue of theft from the donation box kept in Shri Ram Lalla temple in Ayodhya. The organization's General Secretary Dattatreya Hosable has said that whoever is found guilty in the investigation should be given strict punishment.
Hosable said, 'The unfortunate incident of theft from the donation box kept in Shri Ram Lalla temple in Ayodhya has hurt the sentiments and faith of the entire society and Ram devotees and we are all saddened by this incident.'
He further said, 'On the special request of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra Trust, the Uttar Pradesh government has constituted a special investigation team and has initiated legal action based on its recommendations. It is necessary to ensure that whoever is found guilty in the investigation, gets strict punishment.'
Along with this, he appealed that the Trust naturally expects on behalf of the RSS and the entire Hindu society that this highly condemnable incident should be considered as an exception and effective steps should be taken with full seriousness to remove all the shortcomings in the system and functioning so that the faith and devotion of crores of Ram devotees in Ayodhya and the temple remain unbroken.
He further said, the current confusion and uncertainty should end. In this view, we hope that the Special Investigation Team constituted by the temple management and administration will take all necessary steps. We are confident that through sound financial management, fair and transparent system and smooth functioning and an environment filled with purity and deep religious sentiments, the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra Trust will continue to strengthen the faith and confidence of the Hindu society.
The RSS General Secretary said, "The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh appeals to the entire Hindu community to show the necessary patience and restraint in this difficult time and thwart the conspiracies of anti-Hindu and anti-national forces who are trying to take advantage of this unfortunate incident to defame Hindu religion and society."
