Nawanshahr:- Punjab Sakhi Shakti Mela will be held at Government ITI Ground Nawanshahr on 5, 6 and 7 February. This information was given by Assistant Commissioner General Jagdeep Singh while presiding over a meeting of district officers of various departments at the meeting hall of District Administrative Complex Nawanshahr regarding the arrangements to be made for organizing Punjab Sakhi Shakti Mela.
Assistant Commissioner General Jagdeep Singh assigned the duty of district officers of the concerned departments for the preparations of the fair and directed that the assigned duty should be carried out with full honesty and dedication. He also directed those officers to ensure that all the necessary arrangements for the preparations of the fair are completed on time. He said that an exhibition of products made by self-help groups will be organized in this fair.
So that their products can be better marketed and they can get a better platform to sell their products in the future. He said that in this fair, where stalls will be set up by the self-help groups, different stalls will also be set up by the concerned departments. In the meeting, the Assistant Commissioner said that during this three-day fair, where an exhibition of products made by the self-help groups will be set up.
There will also be an exhibition of food stalls, sports activities for children and cultural programs. He appealed to the people to come to this fair in maximum numbers and promote the products made by the self-help groups so that women empowerment can be strengthened. Officers of various departments were present in the meeting.
