Hushiarpur: Punjab Police Special DGP Dr. Naresh Arora arrived in Mahilpur on a personal visit. He was given a grand welcome by prominent social figures at a simple but impressive event on Phagwara Road, Mahilpur. Present at the reception were Gurnam Singh Bais, Rajinder Singh, Bahadur Khan, Advocate Ashwani Verma (Court Complex, Hushiarpur), Advocate Raj Davinder Singh (Mahilpur), Kulwinder Singh Hira (Box Factory), Numberdar Sahib Singh, and Gurinder Preet Singh.
He was also presented with the book "Guru Mahima" written by Daljit Ajnoha. Speaking on the occasion, Punjab Police Special DGP Dr. Naresh Arora stated that the police's performance across Punjab under the anti-drug campaign launched by the Punjab government is commendable. He added that the police are receiving full cooperation from the local population. The police are constantly engaged in taking legal action against drug traffickers.
Soldiers who are addicted to drugs are being admitted to de-addiction centers with the help of their families. After treatment, they are also provided with employment opportunities so that they do not relapse into bad social habits and ruin their lives. Dr. Arora stated that no leniency will be granted under the law to maintain peace and harmony in Punjab. He urged soldiers to stay away from drugs and focus on sports and studies so that they can become healthy and strong and serve society. On this occasion, he provided detailed information about the anti-drug campaign and police actions. Thus, the Punjab Police and the government are jointly taking active steps towards creating a drug-free Punjab, where youth are becoming healthy and future-ready.
