Patiala 14 October 2025- Punjab Forest Department Workers Union Reg: State General Secretary Mr. Virpal Singh Loomba issued a press note and said that the Punjab government has failed to pay salaries to the daily wage workers of the Forest Department for a long time. The Punjab government, which had made about 800 workers permanent by making its policy, also did not pay the meager salary of Rs. 15000/- to those workers.
The old workers, who were doing departmental work, could not pay the salaries to those hardworking workers. Due to which there is a lot of protest among all the daily wage workers of Punjab. Most of the workers are not paid due to caste discrimination by the departmental management.
While the entire working class of Punjab is being forced to come on the streets and hold meetings and protest. Fellow leaders Harpreet Singh Lochma, Major Singh, Lajo, Kulwant Singh, Gurpreet informed that the workers are being mistreated in the AAP government. Like every year, they are being forced to celebrate Diwali Kali and take to the path of struggle.
They have demanded that all the workers should immediately release their salaries that were withheld for a long time before Diwali. Immediate action should also be taken against the guilty employees who hurt the feelings of caste discrimination. The government should take a serious stand in this regard.
