Chandigarh, July 31:- Haryana Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini asked the Punjab Chief Minister to tell the people of the state how many of the 56 announcements made in the last assembly elections have been fulfilled, with only 4 months left for the next elections, will he fulfill all the announcements.
Shri Saini was addressing as the chief guest at a function organized on the occasion of the 87th martyrdom day of Shaheed Udham Singh Ji in Sanour, Punjab today.
On this occasion, he paid homage to Shaheed Udham Singh and said that only the BJP government in Punjab can fulfill the dreams seen by Shaheed Udham Singh for the development of the youth. He took a dig at the Punjab Chief Minister and said that the development of the state is not only through slogans, but also through intentions.
Haryana Chief Minister Mr. Naib Singh Saini has accused the "AAP government" of irregularities in the recruitment of excise inspectors in Punjab and termed it as a big betrayal of talented youth. He quoted a speaker in the program as saying "Punjab government fulfilled 30 percent of its election promises" and asked Chief Minister Mr. Bhagwant Singh Mann to tell how many promises he made in the last elections have he fulfilled? And will he fulfill the remaining announcements in the remaining 4 months? Mr. Saini further said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi ji, India is today touching new heights of development while taking pride in its heritage. Our government in Haryana is working on this spirit. Giving detailed information about the work being done by the Haryana government in the interest of farmers, women and youth, he said that in the last assembly elections, the BJP had taken 217 resolutions in its election manifesto, out of which 70 resolutions have been completed in just one and a half years, the remaining 147 resolutions will also be completed very soon.
He called upon the people of Punjab to follow the ideals of Shaheed Sardar Udham Singh Ji and said that BJP is the only party which is working towards developing and civilizing the country by respecting great men.
Shri Naib Singh Saini described Sanaur as a holy land and said that some lands only become a part of history... but some lands make history. Sanaur is such a holy land. It is not just a town, not just a region; it is the capital of patriotism. The soil of this land reminds us that freedom is not inherited, but is the result of the penance of the Gurus, the valor of the heroes and the sacrifice of the martyrs.
He shed light on the life of Sardar Udham Singh in detail and made us aware of his patriotism, how Sardar Udham Singh had killed the British officer Dyer, the accused of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre, in London. Udham Singh Ji made a difference between the British people and British imperialism. His fight was not against the people of any religion, caste or country, but against injustice.
Shri Naib Singh Saini, instilling enthusiasm in the people of Punjab, said that one Udham Singh fulfilled his resolve for twenty-one years and shook the foundation of an empire. Today, if three and a half crore Punjabis fulfill their resolve, then no power in the world can stop Punjab from changing its destiny.
