Patiala, February 23:- Issuing a press note today, the state leaders of the Punjab Forest Department Workers Union said that the daily wage workers of the Forest Department are being discriminated against and betrayed. Some workers have not been paid their salaries since January 2025. Many hardworking workers have not even been given their due aerial arrears.
And the aerial arrears of the minimum wages increase determined by the Punjab Government as per the rules of the Minimum Wages Act Rules have not been given to the workers since March 2025 and September 2025 till date. Due to which the leaders of the organizations have accused the Punjab government of being a corrupt officer who is trampling on the rights of poor laborers.
Due to which the organization issued a press note and said that on February 26, 2026, a permanent morcha will be started after holding a protest in front of the Forest Division Officer's office, Patiala. The management of the Forest Department will be responsible for all kinds of problems arising from this.
State General Secretary Mr. Virpal Singh Lumba, Suba President Mr. Balvir Singh Mandauli, Vice President Mr. Major Singh Bahera, appealed in a press note that the arrival of all hardworking daily wage workers in the state is the main need of the hour.
