Chandigarh:- A 28-year-old Indian-origin man was killed in Burnaby, Canada. Police suspect that the case may be gang-related. The victim was identified as Dilraj Singh Gill, a resident of Vancouver.
Police officials said that on January 22, in the evening, they received information about a shooting near the 3700 block of Canada Way. When police arrived at the scene, a young man had been shot. Attempts were made to save his life, but despite this, the young man could not survive.
Police officials said that a short time later, a vehicle was found on fire in the 5000 block of Buxton Street. Investigators have launched an investigation to see if this incident could be related to the shooting. The Burnaby, British Columbia police have also issued a statement in this regard.
He said police are investigating the case and are looking into it from multiple angles.
Police are looking into whether the shooting is connected to the BC gang. Investigators have since confirmed that a vehicle that was set on fire in the 5000 block of Buxton Street is connected to the killing. Police are actively working to gather more information about the vehicle and its occupants.
