New Delhi: Amid rising tensions in West Asia, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has stepped up global diplomatic initiatives. In this context, he held discussions with top leaders of France, Malaysia and Oman. The discussions focused on regional crises, restoration of peace and de-escalation through dialogue. Meanwhile, earlier on Wednesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had extended advance Eid greetings to the Crown Prince of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Al-Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah.
He also expressed gratitude for the continued support extended for the safety and well-being of the Indian community living in Kuwait.
Prime Minister Modi spoke to the Crown Prince of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Al-Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah. Sharing the details of the discussion on 'X', Prime Minister Modi wrote: "We exchanged views on the evolving situation in West Asia and expressed our concerns about recent developments.
We have previously condemned attacks on the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Kuwait, and we reiterate this position." Prime Minister Modi further said in his post that ensuring safe and unhindered passage through the Strait of Hormuz is our top priority. Prime Minister Modi said that they agreed that continued diplomatic engagement is essential for regional peace and stability.
He expressed his appreciation for the continued support provided for the security and well-being of the Indian community living in Kuwait.
