Patiala, September 06:- Patiala Social Welfare Society, in collaboration with Government Senior Secondary Smart School, Model Town, celebrated Teachers' Day with great enthusiasm. During the event, 35 teachers were felicitated for their valuable contributions, and stationery was distributed to 40 students. Er. Lavleen Dubey, Member Secretary of the Punjab Pollution Control Board, attended as the chief guest and presented the honors to the teachers and students.
Addressing the gathering, speakers highlighted that celebrating Teachers' Day on the birth anniversary of India's second President, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, is a noble gesture to acknowledge educators. While parents provide initial guidance after a child's birth, it is the teacher who shapes their character and guides them toward success once they start school. Teachers play a pivotal role in academics, sports, and nurturing responsible citizens.
During the ceremony, educators from Government Senior Secondary Smart School Model Town, Government Bikram College, Multani Mal Modi College, Government College for Girls, and DAV Public School, Patiala, were honored. Additionally, CA Rajiv Goyal and National Awardee Dinesh Kumar were also felicitated.
