Patiala (Manpreet Singh):- A meeting of the Punjab Subordinate Services Federation was held in Patiala under the leadership of Rajpal Lasoi, Lakhwinder Khanpur, Jaswinder Sauja, Swaran Banga, Pushpinder Singh Harpalpur and Gurmeet Pedan. It was decided that all organizations affiliated with the Federation would leave no stone unturned to make the mega rally being organized at Sangrur on October 10 by the Employees and Pensioners Joint Front Punjab and Employees Joint Platform Punjab a success.
It was further decided that their members would start preparations for the rally from today itself and mobilize a large number of employees and pensioners to participate in it.
Darshan Belu Majra, Jasvir Khokhar, Ranjit Maan, Dharampal Lot, Dayal Sidhu and Jagtar Shahpur, who specially attended today's meeting, said that they would bring a large number of their employee and pensioner colleagues to participate in the gathering and make the rally successful. They said that no employee or pensioner should remain outside this struggle on that day so that the government could be compelled to address the long-pending demands of employees and pensioners.
These demands include regularization of temporary workers, payment of pending DA arrears which are not being released despite court orders, payment of Pay Commission arrears, providing living-wage salaries to workers working on honorariums, withdrawal of anti-employee letters, implementation of the old pension scheme, payment of 2.59 to pensioners and other demands mentioned in the memorandum. The government should be compelled to resolve these demands.
Government Teachers Union leaders Jaswinder Singh Samana, Paramjit Himmat Singh and Harpreet Uppal, who attended today's meeting, said that they would leave no stone unturned to make this historic mega rally a success.
Apart from others, Monika Masih, Rakesh Kalyan, Parkash Singh, Kuldeep Ghagga, Nath Singh Bujrak, Hardev Singh, Gurmel Ghanour, Jaspal Kaur, Arjan Singh Rajpura, Tejinder Singh, Karam Singh, Rajinder Dhaliwal, Parkash Singh and other leaders participated in today's gathering. They said that they had started preparations for the mega rally from today itself and that on the day of the rally, employees and pensioners would march towards Sangrur in large numbers, equipped with flags and banners.
