Una, January 31: The Una district administration had declared certain areas in the Mehatpur-Basdehra region as no parking and no vending zones to ensure smooth, safe, and organized traffic flow. District Magistrate Una, Jatin Lal, has made a partial modification to the orders issued under Sections 115 and 117 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988.
According to the revised orders, the farmers' vegetable market in Mehatpur-Basdehra will now be held every Friday instead of Monday. The market will be held from 2 PM to 8 PM at the old designated location near the overhead tank in Basdehra. During this period, parking of all types of two-wheelers, four-wheelers, or other vehicles will be strictly prohibited in the area.
The District Magistrate has urged all concerned departments, officers, shopkeepers, and the general public to strictly comply with the orders to ensure smooth traffic flow in the area and to guarantee the convenience and safety of the general public.
