Hansi: An important awareness and discussion meeting regarding the state government's OTS (One Time Settlement) Scheme-2026 was organized at the ETO office located in the District Secretariat complex. The meeting was presided over by DETC Taruna Lamba (ST), Hisar. Advocates and tax consultants from the region participated enthusiastically in the meeting.
Addressing the meeting, the DETC provided detailed information to the tax professionals present about the various provisions, eligibility criteria, application process, and benefits available under the OTS Scheme-2026. She stated that this scheme initiated by the state government is a significant step towards the quick and effective settlement of pending tax disputes and outstanding tax cases. This will provide relief to taxpayers from old cases and ensure the early resolution of pending matters between the department and the taxpayers.
She mentioned that under the scheme, eligible taxpayers will be provided special relief as per the prescribed conditions. Taxpayers with pending tax-related cases can take advantage of this opportunity to resolve their matters. She added that this scheme is not only beneficial for taxpayers but will also prove helpful in making the revenue administration more effective and transparent.
During the meeting, advocates, Chartered Accountants, and tax consultants raised various questions, suggestions, and queries related to the scheme before the officials. Departmental officers answered all questions in detail and clarified various aspects of the scheme.
The officials appealed to the tax professionals present to make the maximum number of taxpayers aware of the OTS Scheme-2026 and motivate them to avail the benefits of the scheme, so that the maximum number of pending cases can be settled in a time-bound manner.
The meeting concluded in a cordial atmosphere, and all participants assured their full cooperation in making the scheme successful and taking its information to the taxpayers.
