Una, September 06:- Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri stated that the area from Rampur Bridge to Haroli Jal Bhawan is being developed as the 'New Haroli Development Path', equipping it with modern amenities, better connectivity, and planned development. He said this while presiding over the Block Congress Committee Haroli meeting at Jal Bhawan Haroli. He added that 'New Haroli', being developed on the lines of New Delhi, will emerge as a new identity of regional development within a year.
The Deputy Chief Minister informed that beautification work worth around Rs 4 crore has commenced from Rampur Bridge to Haroli Jal Bhawan. In this area, the construction of a traffic park costing around Rs 14 crore and Jal Shakti Bhawan worth nearly Rs 12 crore has been completed. Meanwhile, the construction of a heliport at around Rs 22 crore and a modern synthetic athletics track at approximately Rs 10 crore is currently underway.
He mentioned that an automatic testing station for vehicle passing, a judicial complex, an indoor stadium, a mela ground, an office for the Industries Department, and an Ex-Servicemen Bhawan will also be constructed. These projects will be reviewed every two weeks to ensure timely completion. The Deputy Chief Minister emphasized that this is not just the development of a road, but a comprehensive plan to transform Haroli into a modern, well-equipped, and planned area.
He shared that cameras and speed radars are being installed in the New Haroli region. For public convenience, drinking water kiosks, rain shelters, seating arrangements, and digital screens providing details of development works are also being set up.
**Religious pilgrimage with 50 buses under 'Chal Mandra Nu Chaliye'**
The Deputy Chief Minister stated that the Block Congress Committee Haroli will launch the 'Chal Mandra Nu Chaliye' campaign for the residents of the assembly constituency. Under this initiative, 50 buses will carry locals on a pilgrimage to Chintpurni, Naina Devi, Jwalaji, and Baba Balak Nath temples.
**Conferences for women, SC, ex-servicemen, youth, and OBC to be held**
The Deputy Chief Minister announced that conferences for women, Scheduled Castes, ex-servicemen, youth, and OBC communities will be organized in the coming days. Additionally, the 'Haroli Jodo Abhiyan' will be launched in the constituency to connect people more strongly with the development process. He added that the next monthly meeting, held on the first Sunday of every month, will take place as an expanded general house at Palakwah Auditorium.
On this occasion, State Congress Committee General Secretary Ranjit Singh Rana, District Congress Committee President Sandeep Agnihotri, Women Congress District President Suman Thakur, Block Congress President Sukhwinder Kaur, Chaudhry Dharm Singh, Ashok Thakur, Pawan Thakur, Zila Parishad members Keval Singh Aujla and Jyoti Bala, Subhadra Chaudhry, along with other senior Congress workers and committee members were present.
