Hoshiarpur:- As per the directions of the Election Commission of India, on Friday, Additional Deputy Commissioner (J)-cum-Additional District Election Officer Dr. Nidhi Kumud Bambah in the presence of Joint CEO Punjab Navneet Kaur Bal conducted the monthly inspection of the EVM warehouse established at the district level for July 2026 without opening the warehouse. During the inspection, the seals of the double lock of the EVM warehouse, CCTV arrangements and other security arrangements were checked.
          The Additional District Election Officer said that the monthly inspection of the EVM warehouse is a regular and mandatory process. Its objective is to ensure the fairness, security and transparency of the election process. Expressing satisfaction, he said that all the warehouse arrangements in the district have been found to be as per the highest standards.
          On this occasion, representatives of political parties said that this initiative of the Election Commission further strengthens the trust of the common people in the democratic process and proves helpful in removing the misconceptions spread about the impartiality of EVM machines. On this occasion, Khushi Ram Dhiman from Aam Aadmi Party, Rajnish Tandon from Indian National Congress, Bhushan Kumar Sharma from BJP, Jagtar Singh from Shiromani Akali Dal, Balwinder Singh from CPI (M) besides Nodal Officer EVM-cum-District Revenue Officer Amandeep Chawla, Assistant Nodal Officer Balwinder Singh, Election Tehsildar Ramandeep Singh and Kanungo Lakhvir Singh were also present.
