Bhawanigarh, August 26:- MLA from Sangrur constituency Narinder Kaur Bharaj inaugurated the newly constructed water works at the bus stand with the aim of providing better basic facilities to the residents of Bhawanigarh and the people coming and going to the bus stand. The cost of this project has been around Rs 30 lakh.
On this occasion, MLA Narinder Kaur Bharaj said that providing clean drinking water to the people is the main priority of the government. With the commissioning of the new water works, passengers, shopkeepers, employees and the common people coming to the bus stand will get the facility of clean water. He said that keeping in mind the basic needs of the people, development works are being continuously carried out in different areas of the constituency.
MLA Bharaj said that the aim of the government is not just to announce development works, but to complete them on time and dedicate them to the people. He said that more infrastructure related works will be done as per the requirement for the overall development of Bhawanigarh city.
He said that clean water is the basic need of human life and continuous efforts are being made by the government to ensure this facility. He also instructed the concerned officials to pay special attention to the maintenance of water works and quality of water, so that the people continue to get better facilities.
On this occasion, President Avtar Singh Tari, Vicky MC, MC Raj Nafria, Hari Singh, Ritu MC, Lakhwinder Lakha, Surbi Dhiman and Gurpreet Baba along with other dignitaries and local leaders were present.
