Zirakpur, June 8:- Under the public-friendly "Chief Minister Tirath Yatra Scheme" of the Punjab Government, Constituency MLA S. Kuljit Singh Randhawa flagged off the 53rd and 54th buses from village Sitabgarh and Ward Number 28, carrying pilgrims to visit various religious and historical sites in Sri Amritsar.
On this occasion, a unique glimpse of happiness on the faces of the elderly, unwavering devotion in their hearts, and spiritual enthusiasm in the atmosphere was witnessed. Expressing their gratitude to the Punjab Government and MLA Randhawa, the pilgrims stated that this scheme is providing them with a golden opportunity to visit religious places.
MLA Kuljit Singh Randhawa stated that the objective of the Chief Minister Tirath Yatra Scheme is to facilitate religious journeys for the elderly and pilgrims with dignity, and the Punjab Government is successfully taking this scheme to the people. He added that efforts will continue to ensure that the maximum number of people in the constituency benefit from this scheme.
During this three-day journey, the pilgrims will visit Darbar Sahib, Sri Durgiana Mandir, and Sri Valmiki Tirath Sthal (Ram Tirath), in addition to Jallianwala Bagh and the Wagah Border. The entire cost of travel, accommodation, and food for these pilgrims will be borne by the Bhagwant Singh Mann government under the Chief Minister Tirath Yatra Scheme.
Village Sarpanchs, Ward MCs, constituency coordinators, and other prominent personalities were also present on this occasion.
