BARNALA, September 14:- Malwa Sahitya Sabha Barnala organised a literary event at the local Punjab ITI, featuring a discussion on Jangir Singh Dilbar’s poetry collection ‘Dard Da Dariya’. Sukhdev Singh Hathuria’s poetry collection ‘Aje Chanan Kujh Baaki Ae’ was also formally released. Presenting a paper on ‘Dard Da Dariya’, Dr. Surjit Brar said that Dilbar’s poetry is rooted in the experience of love and also reflects the pain of separation. Its poetic quality, aesthetic appeal and subtlety are among its major strengths. The poetry gives special attention not only to rhythm and musicality but also to thematic depth.
Dr. Rampal Singh Shahpuri said that Dilbar’s poetry, being close to social reality, meets both ideological and artistic standards. Speaking about Sukhdev Singh Hathuria’s poetry collection ‘Aje Chanan Kujh Baaki Ae’, Sabha President Dr. Sampuran Singh Tallewalia said that Sukhdev’s poetry is optimistic, realistic and provides constructive guidance to society. Teja Singh Tilak said that just as a teacher gives a meaningful message to students, Sukhdev has conveyed meaningful messages to society through his poetry.
On the occasion, novelist Baldev Singh Sadaknama’s poetry book ‘Gahe Bagahe Kade Kadaiin’ was also formally released. Jugraj Dhaula, Dr. Surinder Bhathal, Dr. Amandeep Singh Tallewalia, Hakim Singh Rureke, Pritpal Singh Jagraon and Sarabjit Singh Malla also shared their views on the books.
This was followed by a poetry session in which Paramjit Singh Rajgarh, Rajinder Singh Rajan, Ram Sarup Sharma, Jagtar Singh Bains, Pawan Kumar Hoshi, Sarabjit Sangrurvi, Bant Singh Phulpuri, Balli Eelwal, Surjit Singh Dehar, Sukhwinder Singh Sneh, Tejinder Chandihok, Bahadur Singh Dhaula, Colonel Babu Singh Moga, Sarup Chand Harigarh, Jaskewal Singh Golewalia, Raman Dhaliwal, Rajnish Kaur Babli, Ram Singh Hathur, Gurtej Singh Hathur, Kulwant Singh Dhingar, Raghvir Singh Gill Kattu, Major Singh Gill Sahaur, Bhola Singh Sanghera, Dr. Ujagar Singh Mann and Davinder Singh Sanghera presented their songs and poems.
