Una, May 8: With modern sports facilities available at concessional rates, Una’s Indoor Stadium is proving to be an affordable and convenient option for the district's youth. Facilities such as badminton courts and a gymnasium are being provided here at nominal charges, allowing athletes, students, and fitness-conscious youth to benefit from superior amenities.
Prince Pathania, an official from the District Department of Youth Services and Sports, stated that a monthly fee of ?300 for children and ?600 for other categories has been fixed for the badminton court facility at the Indoor Stadium. Meanwhile, for the gymnasium facility, a monthly fee of ?500 is being charged to children, and ?1,000 to other categories.
He noted that in the private sector, similar facilities typically command a monthly fee ranging from ?1,000 to ?2,000 for a badminton court and ?1,500 to ?3,000 for a gymnasium. In this context, the Indoor Stadium is making modern sports facilities available to the youth at a significantly lower cost.
Mr. Pathania added that, under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal, the district administration is focused on making sports facilities more accessible and fostering a sports culture among the youth.
In this regard, Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal stated that the district administration is striving to provide the youth with superior, accessible, and affordable sports facilities at the local level, thereby enabling a greater number of young people to engage in sports activities and fitness pursuits. He further emphasized that, with this very objective in mind, the sports infrastructure within the district is being continuously strengthened.
