Bangana (Una), March 12: An atmosphere of excitement is brewing in the area regarding Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu's proposed visit to the Kutlahar Assembly constituency on Friday, March 13. Kutlahar MLA Vivek Sharma (Vikku) visited the venue in Bangana on Thursday to review the preparations for the event and discussed the arrangements with officials.
He informed that the Chief Minister will arrive in Bangana at around 10 am, where he will lay the foundation stone for the Turkal-Panga Water Supply Scheme, to be constructed at a cost of approximately ?15 crore. A massive public gratitude rally will be organized in Bangana on this occasion, with a large number of people from across the assembly constituency expected to participate.
The MLA stated that the construction of this scheme will strengthen the sources of various water supply schemes in Lathiani, Dhundhla, and surrounding areas, ensuring adequate and regular drinking water supply to the people. This is expected to provide significant relief to residents of the region who have been facing long-standing drinking water problems.
He informed that during his visit, the Chief Minister will also lay the foundation stone for a library at the Mini Secretariat in Bangana and a multipurpose hall (gym) in Bangana.
MLA Vivek Sharma expressed his gratitude to Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, stating that development work in the state has gained new momentum under the Chief Minister's leadership. He said that with the support of the state government, continuous work is being done to strengthen the drinking water system in the Kutlahar area. Additionally, approximately ?3.5 crore (35 million rupees) of relief assistance was provided to affected families during the disaster, providing significant relief to the people during these difficult times.
He informed that the state government has also approved the strengthening of the Barsar-Bhayambi road in the region at a cost of approximately ?33 crore and the construction of the Jogipanga-Jhambar road at a cost of approximately ?10 crore. Additionally, under the Chief Minister's guidance, ongoing work is underway to strengthen education, health, and other basic amenities in the region.
The MLA, while expressing gratitude to the Chief Minister, said that the state government has taken public welfare decisions like providing support to destitute children through Sukh Ashray Yojana, promoting natural farming, and increasing the grant amount for rearing destitute cattle from Rs. 700 to Rs. 1200, which are benefiting various sections of the society.
Vivek Sharma said that under the leadership of the Chief Minister, development and public welfare are being given top priority in the state, due to which development is getting a new direction in the Kutlahar assembly constituency as well.
