Sangrur, October 3:- Under the ‘Khedan Vatan Punjab Diyan’ being organised across the state by the Punjab Government, district-level sports competitions are being conducted. On the fifth day today, Shri Dalvir Singh Dhillon, Chairman, Punjab Small Industries and Export Corporation; Daljit Singh Gharachon, Sarpanch of Village Gharachon and District President, Youth Wing, Sangrur; Shri Rajwant Singh Ghulli, Chairman, Market Committee, Dhuri and international veteran player; and Rashdeep Kaur, Asian-level athletics player, participated in the event, encouraged the players and blessed them.
They motivated the players to stay away from drugs and bring laurels to their parents and Punjab through sports. During the district-level games, hockey, athletics, kho-kho, badminton, kickboxing, boxing, handball, basketball, table tennis, wrestling, roller skating, netball and fencing competitions are being held.
