Chandigarh, July 24:- A workshop on skill-based courses and microcredit in higher education was organized today at Shri Vishwakarma Skill University in Palwal under the Haryana State Higher Education Council. Haryana Education Minister Mr. Mahipal Dhanda, while inaugurating the workshop as the chief guest, said that it is very important to link education with skills and industry. He appealed to the Vice-Chancellors and academic representatives of all the universities of the state to make the students employable and entrepreneurial.
The Education Minister said that the National Education Policy-2020 has made the form of higher education flexible and employment-oriented. We have to implement these policies at the grassroots level. With this, India will become an economic superpower and a developed nation by 2047. He said that we have to coordinate skills in all universities. This will give recognition to Haryana's higher education at the national level. He also took a report on the work done on skill-based programs and microcredit from all the universities.
Earlier, Education Minister Mr. Mahipal Dhanda inaugurated the newly built conference room and released the newsletter 'Kushal Samvad'. He also planted a sapling in the campus. During this, Vice-Chancellors and academic representatives of all the universities of the state participated and brainstormed on the coordination of skills in education.
On this occasion, OSD to the Chief Minister Dr. Raj Nehru, Chairman of Haryana State Higher Education Council Kailash Chandra Sharma, Vice-Chancellor of SVSU Professor Dinesh Kumar and others were present.
