Hoshiarpur: With the aim of promoting environmental protection and the beautification of the city, MLA Brahm Shankar Jimpa participated in a tree-planting program organized by the Arora Mahasabha in the park adjacent to the Shani Mandir near Dussehra Ground today. During the event, he planted saplings to promote greenery and appealed to all sections of society to come forward for environmental conservation.
Addressing the program, MLA Jimpa expressed his happiness that the Arora Mahasabha, with the grace and blessings of Aroot Ji Maharaj, has taken the responsibility for the maintenance and development of this park. He stated that social organizations stepping forward to take care of public spaces is a positive step that gives a new direction to the city's development and cleanliness. He noted that parks not only provide a clean environment but also serve as excellent social and recreational spaces for children, youth, and the elderly.
To further improve the park's beauty and facilities, MLA Jimpa announced financial assistance of ?2.50 lakh to the Arora Mahasabha. He also assured that the Municipal Corporation would soon install modern lighting in the park so that people could enjoy better facilities in the evenings as well.
MLA Jimpa added that the Punjab government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, is continuously working for the development of green areas and environmental conservation in both cities and villages. He urged the public to plant as many trees as possible and take care of them.
