Una, July 28: Industries, Parliamentary Affairs, Labour, and Employment Minister Harshwardhan Chauhan visited the under-construction Bulk Drug Park project site at Polian in the Haroli Assembly constituency today (Tuesday) and conducted a detailed inspection of the various development works being carried out. He held a review meeting with project officials to assess the progress of the work and issued instructions to ensure its timely and effective implementation.
Senior officials from the Jal Shakti Department, Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board Limited, Public Works Department, Forest Department, Himachal Pradesh State Industrial Development Corporation Limited, and other relevant departments attended the meeting. During the meeting, officials provided detailed information regarding the project's current status, progress made so far, and the future action plan.
The Industries Minister stated that the Bulk Drug Park is one of the state government's highly significant and ambitious priority projects. He remarked that the successful implementation of this project would establish a new identity for Himachal Pradesh in the country's bulk drug manufacturing sector and give a new direction to industrial development.
Shri Chauhan asserted that no administrative or financial hurdles would be allowed to impede the project's implementation. He stated that the state government is fully committed to providing the necessary financial and administrative support at every level for this crucial project.
He directed the concerned officials to accelerate the work through better inter-departmental coordination, regular reviews, effective monitoring, and a swift decision-making process, ensuring the project is completed within the stipulated timeframe. This initiative will encourage large-scale industrial investment in the state and create new employment opportunities for the youth, thereby boosting the region's overall economic development.
Officials present on the occasion included Additional Director (Industries) Tilak Raj Sharma, Joint Director (Industries, Una) Anshul Dhiman, Superintending Engineer (Jal Shakti Department, Una) Naresh Dhiman, Superintending Engineer (Electricity Department) Darshan Singh, and DFO (Una) Vikalp Yadav, among others.
