Hoshiarpur- Punjab Cabinet Minister Aman Arora today flagged off the 'Family Walk' program organized by Sachdeva Stocks and Fit Bikers Club in collaboration with the district administration at Lajwanti Multipurpose Stadium, Hoshiarpur. Dedicated to the late athlete Fauja Singh, this special event gave a strong message of fitness, drug de-addiction and environmental protection.
On this occasion, Cabinet Minister Dr. Ravjot Singh, Lok Sabha member Dr. Raj Kumar Chabbewal, MLA Bram Shankar Jimpa, MLA Jasvir Singh Raja Gill and Gurpreet Ghuggi were present as special guests.
Cabinet Minister Aman Arora said that events like 'Family Walk' are a means of uniting the society and inspiring people to adopt a healthy lifestyle. He said that more than 5000 people participated enthusiastically in this event, which shows that the people of Hoshiarpur district are moving seriously towards a drug-free and plastic-free society. He said that it was inspiring to see that from a 6-month-old baby to a 91-year-old man participated in this walk, which symbolizes the awareness and unity of all age groups of the society.
Cabinet Minister Shri Arora thanked all the participants, organizers and supporters and said that such programs will definitely strengthen the spirit of ‘Drug-Free Punjab’ and ‘Plastic-Free Campaign’.

He said that it witnessed enthusiastic participation of more than 5 thousand people, which is not only a symbol of the unity of the district but also a living example of public awareness towards healthy lifestyle and environmental protection. Congratulating all the participants, he said that this event will play an important role in strengthening the spirit of ‘Drug-Free Punjab’ and ‘Plastic-Free Campaign’ of the Punjab Government.
Fit Bike Rush Club President Paramjit Sachdeva said that the route of this 5 km long family walk was from Roshan Ground, Balveer Colony, Bhagwan Mahavir Bridge and Tanda Chowk to Lajwanti Stadium. He said that three generations of many families participated in this event and made it memorable. All the participants were provided with free T-shirts, medals, certificates and refreshments.
