Chandigarh, October 9:- Haryana Health, Medical Education and Research, and AYUSH Minister Aarti Singh Rao said that politics is not pursued for personal gain, but to serve the interests of the public and protect their rights. Our objective is to remain among the people, listen to their problems, understand their needs and ensure their resolution. She said that, as public representatives, it is our responsibility to build a strong bridge between the public and the government so that the benefits of government schemes reach every eligible person and people do not face unnecessary difficulties in getting their routine and important work done.

The Health Minister was addressing people after laying the foundation stones for various development projects in Ward 15 of Gurugram on Friday. Pataudi MLA Bimla Chaudhary and Sohna MLA Tejpal Tanwar were also present at the programme.

The Health Minister said that Gurugram is a rapidly developing city and its population and healthcare needs will increase further in the future. In view of this, the priority is to continuously strengthen healthcare facilities, keeping the city’s expansion and people’s needs in mind. She said that the drawing work for Gurugram Civil Hospital had been completed. Work on the ground would begin soon after completion of all the necessary procedures.

The Health Minister said that steps would be taken, in accordance with public demand, to expand essential facilities at healthcare institutions, strengthen medical services and provide modern healthcare facilities. She said that ensuring timely, accessible and better healthcare services for every citizen is the government’s responsibility. She added that the doors of the government are always open to the public, and earning people’s trust, securing their cooperation and living up to their expectations remain the top priorities.

On the occasion, Aarti Singh Rao also laid the foundation stones for three development projects worth ₹22 crore in Ward 15 of the Municipal Corporation of Gurugram. These include the construction of roads, development of footpaths and a cycle track, and laying of a sewerage pipeline in Sector 66; reconstruction of the road from Samrat Mihir Bhoj Chowk in Maidawas village to Kadharpur Road (DLF 30-metre road) using RMC M-40, along with construction of a sewer line, stormwater drain and footpath; and reconstruction of existing roads in South City-2 using BM and BC technology. These development projects will improve road connectivity in the area and provide smoother traffic movement, better drainage and modern urban facilities for residents.
