Chandigarh, May 14:- Haryana Health, Medical Education, Research and AYUSH Minister Aarti Singh Rao on Thursday dedicated various development projects worth about Rs 2 crore 86 lakh to the public for strengthening health services in Gurugram district. Pataudi MLA Mrs. Bimala Chaudhary was also present on this occasion.
The Health Minister said that Gurugram being the most populous district of Haryana, health services are being continuously expanded here. He said that keeping in mind the increasing population and rapid urbanization, the government is continuously working towards strengthening the health infrastructure, so that better, accessible and quality medical facilities are available to the common people. Access to health services is being continuously strengthened in both rural and urban areas through new hospital buildings, sub-health centers, block public health units and modern medical facilities.
He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini, the state government is continuously bringing historic changes in the health sector. The government's goal is to provide better health facilities to every citizen on time. Under this objective, special attention is being paid to the expansion of health infrastructure, availability of modern equipment and improving the quality of medical services. He said that Gurugram is the district in the state where the maximum number of sub-centers have been established, due to which primary health services are being available to the people living in rural areas near them.
Aarti Singh Rao said that several new development projects are also in the pipeline with the aim of expanding health services in Gurugram and providing better medical facilities to the common people. He said that a new primary health center will be established in the Baghanki area of ??the district, while a new sub-health center is proposed to be built in Ghamroj village. With the completion of these projects, the availability of health facilities in rural areas will be further strengthened.
The Health Minister said that in the budget of the current financial year, special focus has been given to further strengthening the health infrastructure for Gurugram district. Under this series, 8 new sub-centers will be established in the district. Apart from this, three new primary health centers will be established in Ransika, Rithoj and Sidharwali. He said that with the opening of these health institutions, a large population of the surrounding areas will get the benefit of better medical facilities.
Aarti Singh Rao said that with the aim of further strengthening health services, two health institutions in the district will be upgraded as Community Health Centers. These include PHC Daulatabad and PHC Wazirabad. With the upgrading of these institutions, specialist health services, modern medical equipment and better treatment facilities will be available at the local level.
The Health Minister directed the officials of the Health Department to ensure regular monitoring of the progress of all development projects related to the health sector in the district. He said that along with completing the projects within the stipulated time frame, special attention should also be paid to the quality of construction works, so that the common people can get better and sustainable health facilities. He asked the officials to review every project related to the expansion of health services from time to time and no negligence should be done in the works. He said that the priority of the government is to provide modern and quality health facilities to the common people, therefore all the development works should be completed as per the standards of transparency and high quality. On this occasion, the Health Minister inaugurated the Block Public Health Unit set up at the Sub-Division Civil Hospital Heilimandi at a cost of about Rs. 50 lakhs. This unit will act as a diagnostic hub for the Pataudi block, where various lab test facilities including HB, ESR, RBS, Dengue, Malaria, Blood Group will be available. Apart from this, the Health Minister also inaugurated the building of the General Sub-Health Centre constructed at a cost of about Rs. 89.45 lakh in village Chandu, and the buildings of the new Sub-Health Centres constructed at Noorgarh and Mahachana villages. The building of Noorgarh Sub-Health Centre has been constructed at a cost of about Rs. 81.89 lakh and the building of Mahachana Sub-Health Centre has been constructed at a cost of about Rs. 64.83 lakh. These projects will improve both the access and quality of primary health services in rural areas.
