Hansi: Haryana Cabinet Minister Ranbir Singh Gangwa said that Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, as Finance Minister, has presented the state's largest budget to date. This budget has been prepared with the development and welfare of people from every section and region of the state in mind and will further accelerate the pace of development in Haryana.
Cabinet Minister Ranbir Gangwa was addressing a press conference held at the BJP office in Hansi on Saturday. He said that the BJP government is rapidly fulfilling the promises made to the people of the state before the elections. He informed that the Lado Laxmi Yojana has been implemented and a provision of ?5,000 crore has been made for it. Initially, women with an annual income of ?1 lakh were included in the scheme, but now its scope has been expanded to include women with an annual income of ?180,000.
The Cabinet Minister said that the state government is fully committed to providing better health facilities to the citizens. Modern medical facilities are being provided in government hospitals, similar to those in private hospitals. MRI facilities have been introduced in government hospitals in seven districts, and ultrasound facilities in hospitals in 18 districts. In addition, many other modern facilities are also being provided in hospitals.
He said that today is the era of education, and youth are getting government jobs based on merit in a transparent manner. This has increased the inclination towards education among youth, and even children from the poorest families are reaching high positions.
He informed that 250 CM Shri Schools will be opened in the state to provide children with quality education in English medium from the beginning. Additionally, digital colleges will be opened in accordance with the demands of the times, where youth will be taught modern technologies like AI. Cabinet Minister Ranbir Singh Gangwa said that the newly formed Hansi district will be developed as a modern model district. New sectors will be developed in the state by the Haryana Urban Development Authority.
He informed that all 23 districts of the state are connected by national highways. There were 3,500 roads in the state with a width of 12 feet. Of these, 1,275 have been widened to 18 feet, and the remaining roads will also be widened. He stated that no road under the Public Works Department will be allowed to be less than 18 feet wide, and 5,000 kilometers of roads will be carpeted. New rest houses will also be constructed across the state.
He stated that the budget has also increased the budget for the Public Health Department to ensure adequate and clean drinking water is available to citizens. To this end, water houses will be constructed as needed. 446 water tanks have been identified in the state that were experiencing surface water supply problems. All these tanks will be repaired, of which 44 have been repaired so far.
The Cabinet Minister stated that citizens living in rural areas will also be provided with urban-style facilities. The state government is taking concrete steps in this direction. 150 villages with a population of more than 10,000 have been included in the Mahagram Yojana. The budget also includes a provision for increasing the minimum wage.
